FAQs

The program aims to provide students with exposure to both futuristic and conventional career options, helping them make informed decisions about their academic and career paths through real-life, handson exposure to the working environment, opportunities, and challenges involved by letting the students spend a day with a professional.

Students from classes 9-12 at The Hyderabad Public School are eligible to participate.

Internships typically involve students shadowing alumni of the school at their workplace for a day to gain insight into various career fields. The students spend an entire day, from morning to evening walking, talking and working with an industry professional to gain hands on exposure and align their interests.

The program covers a wide range of futuristic career options along with conventional career paths to provide students with a holistic understanding of different industries.

Internships are assigned based on students' interests and preferences, as well as availability and suitability of alumni internship hosts. We will initially select based on first come first served approach, and when there is tie, choose based on the preferences provided. (Each student is asked to provide 3 preferences in ranked order.)

The "follow-me" program is a one-day experience wherein the student is tagged with an alum of the school, to spend a day in their field of interest and gain insights to align their career choices. The ‘One week’ in depth internship will last for 3 days to 5 days which will be offered at a later stage.

Students are given the freedom to choose an industry and field of their choice. While preferences are considered, assignments are ultimately based on availability and suitability of mentors and opportunities.

While participation is encouraged, it is not mandatory. However, it is highly recommended for students to gain valuable exposure and insights.

Mentors are alumni of The Hyderabad Public School who are stalwarts in their line of work who volunteer to share their professional experiences and insights with current students. A number of mentors could just be friends of the alumni.

Yes. The student will receive certificate upon attending this program, and then sharing a ppt on their learning’s from the internship.
